FRANCIS LEE

Bob Perry designed this Puget Sound Daysailer for the pure pleasure of sailing without regard to any racing rating rule. She has basic weekend accommodations with a composting head. She is constructed of strip planked Western Red Cedar sheathed in triaxial VectorPly set in West System Epoxy. She has a clear Douglas Fir backbone and deck to hull shelf. Her deck/cockpit/cabin and structural interior is all foam core composite for maximum strength and minimum weight. She has a foam core composite Cherry and Ash cabin sole. Her interior trim is all Cherry. Her chainplates are titanium and her standing rigging is SS rod. Her mast and rudder are Carbon Fiber. Her keel is a steel fin with lead bulb carried on 316SS keel floors bolted to fore and aft solid girders tied into a monocoque foam core composite structural interior. Her 39 HP Yanmar diesel drives a four blade feathering MaxiProp through a Yanmar SD-50 saildrive.
