English Wooden Optimist Dinghy – Hull No. K3658

Beautifully crafted UK-built Optimist (c. 1983–1985) with rare vintage sail number and full racing setup.

Here’s your chance to own a rare, fully equipped wooden Optimist dinghy — Hull No. K3658. Hand-built in England between 1983 and 1985 and purchased in London circa 2005. Named “Touchwood,” a nod to both its wooden construction and the British phrase meaning "knock on wood."

🛶 Highlights:
- Original wooden hull, finely laminated, structurally sound
- Two sails — each with its own spars and both featuring pre-"GBR" "K" sail numbers
- Two full sets of foils (rudders, daggerboards, tillers) with protective covers
- Race-rigged with upgraded hardware and fittings
- Top and bottom covers
- Launching trolley

There is a small hole on the starboard exterior — a cosmetic repair, easily handled by anyone with basic woodworking or boat repair experience.
