1969 22’ Calkins Bartender Single Screw Drive – 5.7lt Chevy V8 Motor with Velvet Drive (200 Hours) - New Glass 3 years applied to plywood hull, cabin was removed, never in water. All boat’s hardware is included as well a trailer.
“TOM” is a 12' catboat Bill Garden designed for himself. Port Orford cedar on bent white oak frames, epoxy encapsulated, BRZ fastened and epoxy glued. Hull is covered with 6 oz glass cloth, deck and cuddy with Dynel. Sitka spruce mast and spars.
THELMA is an 11’4” cedar strip canoe with Douglas Fir gunwales and Ash stems. She is the first boat built by cousins Tristan and Tom and was made under a tarpaulin shelter at the end of their garden in Southampton, England.
Cedar plank and mahogany boat built in 1950 number 12021. The deck, cockpit and dagger board trunk have been updated to modern configuration. Gerber Boat Works of City Island, NY was founded in 1935 and built high quality wood snipes from ‘47 to the 60’s.
