DRAGON-FLIER is the third wooden boat that Brad Story has built. The Ply-Flier is designed by Stevenson Projects of Carmel, CA. He modified the plans to strip the sides instead of constructing them from plywood. The strips are poplar and cedar; and the trim, rudder, and transom are cherry.
Just in time for the winter sailing season; Carpinteria Dory Company (http://www.carpdory.com) recently completed this Maine Peapod designed by Arch Davis (http://www.archdavisedesigns.com).

Pete McDonald and John Sherwood created this 12′ x 8′ pontoon boat to their own design, and called the BUCKEYE PADDLER. She is built with three pontoons, two with deep-v bottoms, the other flat bottomed. Two 30″ paddlewheels propel her through the lakes of eastern Ohio.
Tom Peretti spent a year building this 12′ Sassafras Canoe from a kit created by Chesapeake Light Craft. He trimmed the stitch-and-glue plywood boat with mahogany rails and thwarts.

I recently finished restoring a 1960’s Comet sailboat. She needed a new deck and a good paint scraping. Many thanks to WoodenBoat School for instilling the confidence to take on such a project.
The Comet is a hard-chine boat with a low freeboard and centerboard. See WB 31.
I’ve built 30+ boats as a hobby so I know enough to be dangerous. A few years ago someone decided I needed yet “another” project so they donated a 19402 era Chris Craft (I think) mahogany planked hull.
Sundowner had her humble beginnings at the WoodenBoat School’s 2011 Glued Lapstrake class taught by Geoff Kerr. I was fortunate enough to take her home and finish the work we had started. A local mill supplied the cherry, walnut, and pine which I used to finish the hull.
Built by professional Vermont furniture maker. In exceptional condition.
