I have owned this Grand Laker for 15 years. After an initial surge of energy where I removing the old fiberglass mat and replaced the inners, outers, stem, transom, deck and a bunch of sheeting, she sat for 12 years.

After 37 years as a superintendent and general superintendent at Howard S. Wright Construction, a Balfour Beatty company in Seattle, Washington, my retirement gift from my peers and the company was a complete Annapolis Wherry kit from Chesapeake Light Craft.
12′ Chesapeake Light Craft Wood Duck kayak. Launched at The Whalehead Club at Corolla, NC in June. Constructed by Jeff Loomis between January and June, 2013.

Okoume plywood-glued lapstrake; genuine mahogany thwarts, floors and floor boards; sapele stem, transom, knees, and gunwales; Douglas fir spar; cherry oars.
Chris Ireland built this 16′ Amberjack Dory from Iain Oughtred’s plans. The construction is glued lapstrake using Okoume marine plywood and West System epoxy. Stem and frames were laminated Douglas fir, ash breasthooks and gunwales, and white pine transom, thwarts and floorboards.
Taking plans and instructions from Dynamite Payson's plans and book, Build The New Instant Boats, Brendan Shea built this Diablo skiff, DY-NO-MITE, and launched her in July, 2011. The hull is 15′ LOA with a 5′ Beam, and is constructed from marine plywood with ash rails.
