WREN was built on our patio in Chapel Hill, NC. It only took about 20 months longer then the 2 months I originally promised my wife. This was my first attempt at boat building and now I'm ready to leave my job as a nurse, head back to school, and figure out how to make a livelihood of it.

The Drift Boat was built from dimensions and plans in Roger Fletcher’s Book, Drift Boats and River Dories. Its design is by Woody Hindman in the 1930’s, a Double Ender with Transom.The hull’s sides are made from Cedar Strips as (normal construction is from Marine Plywood).

Brian and Brenda Isaacs built this Melonseed skiff in the early 1990s. They used the information in Howard Chapelle's book "American Small Sailing Craft," extending the length by 18" to make room for their cargo of children and dogs.
On 8/13/2016, Suzanne Nye launched her Bjorn Thomasson Design Frej kayak in Fleming Island, Florida. Her husband Mark, built the kayak using western red/Alaskan yellow cedar strips for the hull/deck and sapelle plywood for the cockpit coaming and bulkheads.
