SWEET PEA
Paul Rowe built SWEET PEA from Chris Kulczyki's Sassafras 16 design in his book The Canoe Shop. SWEET PEA is 15'5" long with 36" beam. Paul launched her on Dec 2, 2001 in Stuart, Florida. The hull is glue-and-stitch construction using 6mm Brunzel plywood. The canoe weighs 62 pounds.
CHICA ROWBOAT
This is a Ken Swan Design 15' Chica rowboat. Herb Fisher built it of fir marine plywood over mahogany frames, covered with WEST epoxy. He launched it on July 4, 2001 in the Toms River, NJ.
LIL' GEM
For Christmas 2001, Tom Koenig's wife gave him Dynamite Payson's plans for Teal, a Phil Bolger-designed double-ended sailing skiff, 12' long and 3'6" beam. He spent the winter building the boat. For her launching in July 2002, he drove five hours from his house to Pamlico Sound, NC.
PUFFIN
After the parts were cut from marine plywood by their grandfather, Tavish and Niam Rogers assembled their first boat using copper ring nails and polyurethane construction adhesive.

Jim French was needing a boat when his friend Jim Tuck received Dynamite Payson's book, Build the New Instant Boats, for Christmas. So Jim Tuck lent his friend the book, and the use of his shop, and some wood, and a bit of help, now and then.
MORNING GLORY
The boat is powered with a 40 HP Mariner motor. All wood was purchased from a home improvement store and covered with epoxy and fiberglass. The design is from Jeff Spira and the model name is the Kachemak.
JULES a 13′ Outrigger Canoe
JULES was launched on the island of Kauai this spring and Rob paddles her in the ocean waters behind reefs — primarily for fishing. with the outrigger, she is “stand up safe” and wonderful to fish from.
BLUE BELLE
In 2003, Walter and Debbie Schwarz fell in love with a 1965 Chris-Craft Constellation in serious need of help. They rebuilt every part of her and updated her amenities to now include a master stateroom, modern electronics and bow thrusters, and a completely redone interior.
