Per Crawford writes "EVINRUDE was officially launched on January 12, 2003 into the Waccamaw River at sunset. Per Crawford designed and built the 13'6" Carolina Skiff of 1/4" marine plywood, stainless steel fastened with 6 oz. Fiberglass overlay using the west system.
I built this 18′ Palmer fantail launch to plans I obtained from Mystic Seaport Museum. The original boat was built around 1910 and had a Palmer gas inboard engine. I adapted the plans for modern strip plank construction and used western red cedar for planking, fiberglassed inside and out.
Donald Eno launched this Penobscot 14 in May 2001 in Lake George, NY. FRENCH LOTION is an Arch Doak design, 14' x 4'6". It took two years to build, and Donald plans to sail her on Lake Erie and inland lakes in New York State.
Armand Charlebois launched this steamboat SARA C in August 2004 on the Ottawa River in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Weston Farmer is the designer of the 25' x 7' 'Diana' model boat. Armand strayed slightly from the plans by strip-building the hull, rather than using carvel planking as called for.
The hull and deck of the Rob Macks-designed kayak are western red cedar with aspen accent strips. The coamings are made of laminated ash. Both deck and hull are covered inside and out with fiberglass cloth and epoxy.
