Launchings

Dom Zack of Waterbury, VT built this boat for his grandsons, Colin and Anthony, who live on the Indian River in Melbourne, FL. They launched it on the 25 of March 2002. It is a Footloose Beach Cruiser designed by Jordan Wood Boats. He used 3/8" and 1/4" marine plywood with frames made of fir.

Dean Whitlock writes, “These two prams, 11' long on the left and 13' long on the right, were built to the same pattern by Bob Elliott’s class, ‘Building the Norwegian Pram,’ at WoodenBoat School in August 2001.

Build by father and son team Joe and Brandon Peloso was started at the Family Boat Building event at the Wooden Boat show of 2013 in Mystic, CT. Completed over the winter and launch June 21, 2014

On May 9, 2016, the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum in Kobe, Japan, launched this 22′9″ Isobune, a type of fishing boat developed in Tohoku, Japan. The boat was built as an exhibition at the museum by Douglas Brooks, who is a boatbuilder from Vergennes, Vermont.

Built from guillemot kayak plans during winter of 2025. Full length 1/4 x 3/4 mahogany bead and cove strips. In order to rip the 16' mahogany boards inside my shop, I cut a "mail slot" in the door opposite the table saw.

I launched my boat July 27, 2015, I started the build on December 4, 2014. I have 814 hours in the build. The boat performs very Well. I installed a new 70 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard with the command link instrument package. The boat reached 29 MPH at 6200 RPM. Getting 5.4 MPG of fuel.

Rusty Wendt of Greensboro, North Carolina recently built Shearwater Sport kayak, which he named OSPREY.
