Jerry Sweeney built this 16' cedar strip canoe ABENAKI with plans by David Hazen. It was built from scratch starting with two 18' 1 x 6 rough sawn cedar planks. It will be used in the Yakima and Columbia Rivers near Kennewick, WA.

I built Huntington Harbor from free plans from Spira International. It was lots of fun and paddles great, looking forward to the next build.

I’m a fishing guide in Patagonia Argentina. A while ago I decided I wanted to build a drift boat. I got in touch with designer Jeff Spira and gave him a detailed account of how I was planning on using the boat and he came up with the Rawson.

Gene Bjerke took a course from Ted Moore at the Mariners' Museum in Newport News, VA. The course was on fine woodstrip kayak construction, and Gene was lucky enough to end up with the boat he worked on in the class. It is a Steve Killing Resolute design (16'6" x 25").

Bill Sterling has been building this Haven steadily for the last 17 years, starting in California and then trailering her half-finished hull across the country to complete her in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Rod Fuqua built this 17′ Northeaster Dory with guidance from Les Chase a boatbuilding school in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The stitch-and-glue dory has a 56″ beam, and will easily hold three adults. Rod launched MARY AGNES on October 15, 2011.

LEGACY is a 1956 Thompson Sea Coaster that Bob Cristina of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina recently gave to his son Ed Cristina of Ashton, Ontario. Ed did a few repairs and gave LEGACY a whole new finish before re-launching her in August 2011.
