Manasek was traditional construction - in old times used by Scouts in Czech republic. It was easy to build — just from three wide boards. It was paddled by double blade paddle.

THE EMERALD is a Six-Hour canoe built by Roger Kofler of Jennings Lodge, Oregon. Roger followed plans in WoodenBoat No.
The hull and deck of the Rob Macks-designed kayak are western red cedar with aspen accent strips. The coamings are made of laminated ash. Both deck and hull are covered inside and out with fiberglass cloth and epoxy.

Paul Bennett of Shoestring Shipyard designed this Pilgrim's Pride 16 built by Jimmy Helms of Charlotte, NC. Jimmy writes that it was his first big project and a pleasure to build, going together just as the designer said it would.
I launched Simmer Dim on Lake Champlain on Sept 20, 2014. The build took almost a year, having begun with a WoodenBoat School class in Annapolis in November 2013. I will make use of her mostly in Maine, Lake Champlain, Long Island Sound and pretty much anywhere in between.
Raimo Repo of Ontario built JOY, a 13' Chamberlain dory skiff, from lines drawn by the late Mr. John Gardner. He bought the plans from the Mystic Seaport Museum after attending the WoodenBoat Show at Mystic in the late 1990s.
