LEGACY is a 1956 Thompson Sea Coaster that Bob Cristina of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina recently gave to his son Ed Cristina of Ashton, Ontario. Ed did a few repairs and gave LEGACY a whole new finish before re-launching her in August 2011.
Bev and Frank Salomonsen of Rochester, Minnesota, built this balanced-lug sailboat from plans of the Tirrik design by Iain Oughtred. They built the 16′10″ hull from okoume plywood planking, with stem and keel of white oak.
LI’L BOAT was launched September 3, 2013 in Egg Harbor, WI. Hull was stripped planked using Atlantic White Cedar and sheathed in fiberglass cloth and epoxy. Transom, seats, and trim are Mahogany. Flooring is Cumaru and spars are Douglas Fir.
Inspired by Arthur Ransome’s Swallows and Amazons series of books, Steve, Fiammetta, and Elena Householder built this 10′ 2″ Acorn Puffin dinghy, AZURE, designed by Iain Oughtred.
Hands-on learning through the Wisdom of the Hands program at Clear Spring (AR) School resulted in BLUE WHALE, a boat designed by students to hold the 10-member high school class.

Mark McGinley built this Iain Oughtred design 7 1/2′ Auk “ELSIE KAY” from Okoume plywood as well as locally cut Quarter sawn oak, ash, and pine. She is the tender for his Pacific Seacraft PS-25 located in the Apostle Islands area of lake Superior.
Gene and Luanna Dykens of Holland, MI launched a 16' wooden canoe with a Polynesian outrigger on April 25, 2003 in Long Lake, MI. Besides paddle propulsion, the boat is also equipped with a small electric motor.
