Oar / Paddle

NAIADE

NAIADE is a two seat kayak. It is not a real double sea kayak, as this would require an extra meter, as well as different characteristics (with all the inconveniences involved, such as road transport on the top of a car) but it is perfectly suitable for pleasure trips in calm waters, under safe conditions, even for amateur paddlers. We have designed the kayak with two separate cockpits because we feel this is the safer solution in case of rough sea. The plans are available also for the strip planking construction. The chine and round versions have similar characteristics, except for their aesthetic qualities. Unless a constructor wishes to confront himself with the strip planking technique, there are no reasons in this case to encourage the use of this type of construction - which requires a greater amount of work.
