Wooden Rowing Oar Plans

The plans are two sheets (48″ x 36″) of comprehensive details to allow you to construct a pair of the finest, strongest, and lightest (3.5 lbs each) hollow rowing oars to complement any wooden rowing boat. The details including full-size patterns for making 3 different blade shapes, a standard Hatchet, a Macon, as well as the “Icelander,” a special more traditional long narrow blade for really long open water voyages. There are details for both a standard 9′ 6″ shaft or a long 10’ version.
