The Sponge Docks Skiffs are designed for first-time builders, due to their simple stitch and glue assembly, yet on the water these good looking boats are versatile, stable and dry.The SDS19 is the latest in the series, and includes:

• Removable sole panels simplify construction.

Spray 52 is available as a Wood / Epoxy plan and full size frame patterns.

Construction - Glue-lap-plywood flat bottom.

Alternative construction - Traditional plank.

No Lofting required.

This boat is a larger version of my popular POINT COMFORT 18, a traditional Chesapeake Bay workboat type reinterpreted for simpler and more modern construction.

The Stevenson Projects Weekender design is forty years old this year! Inspired by the classic lines of Friendship sloops, but translated to plywood, the Weekender has the looks of a classic era and the light-strong straight-forward simplicity of more modern materials.

Our pre-cut kits are cut by computer-guided routers to provide you with extremely accurate parts. And, the kits come with just about everything needed except the elbow grease. The ladder frame—the “foundation” of the boat—is now included with the kit.
