We designed a simple to build work boat with a vee-hull based on a proven work boat type, the Panga.

Please note: this design was formerly known as Pike.

Construction - Glue-lap-plywood flat bottom.

Alternative construction - Traditional plank.

No Lofting required.

Plans include 3 sheets with instructions.

Sail Area - Sprit 60 sq. ft.

The Eureka is a pretty, simple to build plywood canoe built in stitch and glue, (44lbs down to 34) and paddles nicely. Very comprehensive plans - a boatbuilding course in a book.

Lapstrake is a forgiving building method. The overlapping spruce planks allow for a little error when installing, which gives the classic canoe an extra layer of peace of mind when you’re on the water.

The accommodation of this design has been laid out to suit two couples. The Roberts 470 makes a fine long distance cruising yacht.

ATLANTIC 550
