The Sea Island Sport is CLC’s response to hundreds of requests for an attractive stitch-and-glue sit-on-top kayak. Credit for the design goes to Nick Schade.
This is a simple 8ft stitch and glue sail/row pram. It requires only 3 sheets of marine plywood and should be very fast, easy, and inexpensive to build. It should end up just over 80lb so easy to transport as well.
We included in our catalog this boat for a request of one of our customers who identified in this model the traditional American boat, whose designs were published in WoodenBoat magazine, with the strange name “Dispro”, which meant the “Disappearing propeller boat”.
The Crystal 16 was designed to be a simple, lightweight flats skiff. Her hull is a simple V-bottom with a bit of flare in her topsides. Her deck features a large casting platform forward with two smaller platforms back aft on both sides. Storage is available up forward below the casting deck.
Woodenwidget folding 12 foot kayak. Folding to just a few inches in moments. All the parts remain attached to the boat so you won't arrive at the water missing any vital parts. Tracks well, stable and buoyant. Easy to build. The drop down floors ensure you never get a wet bottom.
