The Stevenson Projects Weekender design is forty years old this year! Inspired by the classic lines of Friendship sloops, but translated to plywood, the Weekender has the looks of a classic era and the light-strong straight-forward simplicity of more modern materials.

Tom Cat is a shoal draft catboat of plank-on-frame construction, but strip construction would do as well.

Lofting is required.

Sail area is 120 sq. ft.

Plan includes 9 sheets.

This schooner is designed to be able to cruise offshore with a crew of four people.
Here heavy displacement and built down hull will make for a comfortable motion

NEMAH features a stable, flat bottomed, sharpie type hull that can handle up to 3 passengers and a small outboard up to 5hp. Sides are ¼” plywood and the bottom is 3/8” plywood. A trussed gunnel rail insures hull stiffness.

A V-bottomed plywood skiff designed for rough water - a good fishing boat. Construction: Plywood planking over sawn frames. No lofting required. Plans include 5 sheets.

Minimum size ocean voyager

This is a fast easy, light weight, modern bass boat. It is small by today's comercial standards but has all the modern features.

“Breeze” is a 10′ (3m) double paddle canoe. Two sheets of plywood needed. Stitch and glue construction using 3″(75mm) fiberglass tape in epoxy for all seams inside and out. The deciding factors when designing the boat were mostly the same as with all my designs - seaworthiness and lightweight.
