My dad, Gary Lorenz, made this handmade wood boat himself, completing it in 2017 to enjoy in the Puget Sound in his golden years. It's shipshape and very seaworthy (there is just one superficial ding on the back corner edge, shown in photo below). There are many more nautical miles in it.
Orbus is a Steve Redmond Elver, about 21' overall. She has mahogany stem and stern members, marine ply bulkheads, strip planking in cedar, with one layer of fiberglass below the water line.
12' wooden sailing/rowing skiff. Owner built in 1985 from King and Davis design. Kept under cover when not in use. Constructed of marine plywood, with mahogany transom and thwarts, Douglas fir frames, oak and ash trim, and Sitka spruce spars. Custom sewn sail. Epoxy encapsulated.
