Our Caledonia Yawl KATHLEEN was launched for the first time on May 1, 2015 at the Cedar Key Small Boat Meet.She is the 16th boat and 3 trimaran conversions that Kathie and I have built. Hull was built on used Hewes and Co molds from meranti marine ply, We spiled, patterned and fit each plank.

Ken and Deb LaPorte recently finished building their first boat, a Melonseed skiff named TIME OUT. The design is by Marc Barto and available from The WoodenBoat Store. The hull is built from strips of sapele.
I was having difficulty getting out of my SOT kayak and needed a small skiff to row around the lake near my house. I wanted something I could put in the back of my S10 pickup, so I chose the Hannu 10 1/2 foot skiff.
Blanket Bay was built for my granddaughter, born today, May 27th. I wanted a design that got the cradle up off the floor (my daughter has three little dogs) and this design fit the bill. It’s clinker built of 1088 Hydratec Meranti ply, with solid Maple gunwales.
The hull and deck of the Rob Macks-designed kayak are western red cedar with aspen accent strips. The coamings are made of laminated ash. Both deck and hull are covered inside and out with fiberglass cloth and epoxy.
Amanda Rogers and her father, Jim, built this rowboat at a three-day Family Boatbuilding Workshop sponsored by the Inland Seas Education Center in Suttons Bay, MI. They used marine plywood and treated yellow pine for construction.
John Beck built this Chesapeake Light Craft Shearwater 17 hybrid using white and red cedar strips for the hull and decking, and added aniline dye to the hull to give it a blue color. John won the best in show at the 2007 Okoume Fest sponsored by CLC.
