Launchings

After 7 years combining job in corporation with work in shipyard I launched MarUla, a trailerable classic cruiser.

Lary Kuhns built this 19′ drift boat, IACOBOS from plans by Jerry Estes of British Columbia.  IACOBOS is very rugged, with a 1″ bottom of CVG fir, glassed inside and out.  Lary uses the boat to fish the Kenai River near his home in Homer, Alaska.  

Fred Fisher, a retired cabinetmaker, finished this Arch Davis-design Penobscot 14 in November 2003. He planked the boat with 1/4" mahogany plywood with Spanish cedar stringers and trim. The rail cap, interior, and oars are white oak. The mast and spars are laminated Douglas fir.

KAPETAN was launched May 29th, 2016 off the beach she was designed to break through waves to the sacred fishing grounds of Pacific City, Oregon. Wood used in construction was all made with Sapelle.

Donal O'Callaghan writes that his boat is "one of those boats that whenever you row it, you should allow a few minutes to answer questions, because people are attracted to it like a magnet." He built this sleek beauty from plans by Graeme King of Putney, Vermont.

I started designing her in June of 2008. I had to put her up each fall to work on Christmas presents among other projects, but launched her this past weekend.

I started her late 2017 but in March 2018 I quit my job and worked on her every day.

ABIGAIL is a 'very enjoyable rowing boat" writes owner and builder Peter Kobylarz of Houlton, ME. She is a Grand Banks Dory found in John Gardner's Dory Book. Peter constructed her of hand-planed native pine.
