Dennis Hefling and his son built this 17'5" cedar-strip canoe from plans that Dennis drew up.
Nick Riggio built the GERRYLU, a Steve Redmond Whisp design, from Meranti plywood, cypress wood, and mahogany. Nick was a student at Greg Rossel's WB School Fundamentals of Boatbuilding class in the summer of 2002. GERRYLU is 15'7" x 3'6" and is used on the lakes near Webster Groves, MO.
Allen Kay and his sons (Colin on left, Ian on right) finished a 14′ Kaholo just in time for a short paddle in Maryland before hauling it to Lake Megunticook in Maine for two weeks to put it through its paces. “They love it,” Allen says.
Chris Ireland built this 16′ Amberjack Dory from Iain Oughtred’s plans. The construction is glued lapstrake using Okoume marine plywood and West System epoxy. Stem and frames were laminated Douglas fir, ash breasthooks and gunwales, and white pine transom, thwarts and floorboards.

Scott Gifford's BLACK DUCK runabout can handle both the rough waters of Buzzards Bay and the shallows of the Westport River in Massachusetts. He framed the hull with white oak, then double-planked the bottom with eastern white cedar.
