Launchings

After purchasing the plans in 2007, I didn't start building until 2012 when life, work, and materials lined up.

A Dudley Dix designed Cape Henry 21′ that I recently built and launched for a Paris based customer. 3/8″ Okoume ply over ply bulkheads and Southern Yellow pine stringers, sheathed with 4oz glass on the bottom up to the first lap.

Steve Warning of Kelso Washington built the ANGELA K to Harry Bryan's Handy Billy design. Using batten seam construction, Steve used cedar planking over white oak frames and backbone. He made the floors from purpleheart wood and used mahogany for the trim and seats.

28′ scow hulled catamaran constructed from marine ply and reclaimed wood. Built in Falmouth, Maine, by Steve King and Rick Keith.

This heavy duty version of the Digger 17 skiff adds 6 inches of freeboard and optional self-bailing in addition to modified Bosworth check valves installed on the transom. Marine grade plywood, mahogany, cedar, douglas fir, and brazilian cherry used in the build.

This tunnel boat was designed and built for racing in American Powerboat Association class Sport C.Construction is skin on frame plywood using both exterior and marine grades.

Father and son, Roy Davis Sr. and Roy Davis Jr., built this 15'10" lapstrake, flat-bottom skiff THE LONG POINT over about 15 months, from June 1999 to September 2000. Thomas J. Hill, of Burlington, MA is the designer. They power it with a 30-hp Mercury outboard.
