ISHTAR
Gorden Schweers had taken a two-week course on building a dory from the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Townsend, WA before building this modified faering with his son Guthrie.
Dory Skiff
Peter Baldracchi recently built this 14′ dory skiff in a class at Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury, Massachusetts. There’s a storage compartment under the sternsheets and room for gear and a couple of friends. The light grey interior, varnished seats, and dark hull make for a handsome boat.

“Inspired by Mathew Murphy’s article, ‘A Solo Canoe for Double Paddle’ (Small Boats 2007), a 10′6″ version of Harry Bryan’s Fiddlehead is now being paddled around the bays and beaches of the Bucklands Peninsula” in New Zealand, writes Tony Hinde.
SILVER GULL
1n 1999, David and Pauline Latham of Sydney, Australia asked James Frecheville to restore this Chris-Craft mahogany runabout, SILVER GULL, which was built about 1941. David's family had owned the boat since 1952.

She needed to be nesting to be taken out of the basement where she was built.
ALEX-ELECTRA
After 13 years of part-time building, Bob Cosler, of Pasadena, Maryland launched ALEX-ELECTRA in July 2021. Built from Berkeley Engineering plans for the Candu EZ tug she is powered by a 10 hp golf cart motor running from six, 6 -volt Trojan batteries.
STUART LITTLE
Iain Oughtred of Findhorn, Scotland designed this dinghy with length just under 7'. Bill Clapp is the builder and owner. He writes, "The STUART LITTLE has proven to be a very satisfactory 'minimum' pram. At only 52 pounds it provides small boat seamanship for my grandson Nathaniel.
AZURE
Inspired by Arthur Ransome’s Swallows and Amazons series of books, Steve, Fiammetta, and Elena Householder built this 10′ 2″ Acorn Puffin dinghy, AZURE, designed by Iain Oughtred.
