Tom Peretti spent a year building this 12′ Sassafras Canoe from a kit created by Chesapeake Light Craft. He trimmed the stitch-and-glue plywood boat with mahogany rails and thwarts.

Ryan Dewsbury spent many hours sanding his Chesapeake Light Craft Sassafras 16 before launching it last May with Heather Bal on Lake Huron in Kincardine, Ontario.
This design from CYD 4710 for Lorenzato’s family build from Cantiere Alto Adriatico. It’s very innovative in the layout and is the first of a series with this type for the same yard, with two separate cabins: one forward and one aft, with the dinette and living in the middle of the boat.
My first attempt at building anything out of wood was what I call the Drift Boat Skiff. The Drift Boat Skiff is plans built from the book, “THE WEEK END SKIFF” BY Richard Butz and John Montague.
Art Ross writes "Thompson Bros. of Peshtigo, WI, built this TVT Hi-Speed Fish Boat in 1954. She spent the last 30 years residing in an Amish barn. She is 14' LOD, has a 55" beam, and goes real fast with a 1967 Mercury 350.
Richard Goy of Brothers' Boatworks writes, "The boat is constructed of marine plywood and coated with fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin. It is powered by a 70 lb. thrust-modified Minn-Kota electric motor mounted under the rear deck.
Warren Kennedy launched his new 14' Amesbury Skiff made by Lowell's Boat Shop in Amesbury Mass. He wanted the boat over built, and says it handles great in both salt and fresh water. He uses a 15 hp four-stroke Yamaha for propulsion.
