Taking just three years to complete this Karl Stambaugh designed centerboard ketch, Mort Hyslop launched the EMILY P on July 15, 2002 in Northern Lake Michigan. He used marine fir plywood for the hull, built over Douglas fir frames and covered with cloth and epoxy.
Community boat building in Polk County, North Carolina, is flourishing, according to Katherine Korth, who is involved with the project. 30 students had signed up by July to build a series of 5×10 skiffs.
Vince Trtan used a lot of 40-grit sandpaper in the restoration of this Old Town canoe, HW model, hull #150314-7. After sanding off the old canvas, he made new gunwales, keel, seats, and decks. Then he had to replace several ribs and planks.

Rich Vogel purchased this 15' Marsh Cat sailboat in 2003. He named her JASMINE and added seats, lazarette, boom gallows, tabernacle to the hull constructed by Dan Fry in 1996. Rich lives near Boston, Massachusetts, and uses JASMINE on the waters from Boston Harbor to Nantucket Sound.
