Simple sheet plywood sports rowing boat, stitch and tape construction. As easy to build as it gets!

This 32′ double-ended sharpie ketch will provide the amateur builder with a shoal-draft cruising boat of simple construction.

Construction: Plywood planking over sawn frames.

Lofting is required.

Plans include 4 sheets.

Meghan has a constant deadrise V-bottom hull with  a capacity of 1-2 passengers and features for & aft flotation chambers. Her rig consists of a 16ft free standing mast, 9′5″ wishbone boom and 65 square ft sail.

The Champlain is a good traditional style general purpose recreational canoe.

Designed by Joel White, the original boat was built plank-on-frame by Jimmy Steele (of Peapod fame), but no plans were ever drawn-until now.

Cutter designed by William Fife Jr., in 1888.The plans produce a model that is 28″ in length.You’ll receive 3 pages of plans historical information about the boat, step-by-step instructions and full-sized patterns for each lift, as well as template for you to shape the profile.

In the spring of 2013, I started to write a book called, How to Design a Boat using SketchUp 3D Software. The subject matter was my design, ‘Kalostyn’.
