Designed as a cat schooner; both sails have big round poles at their leading edges. Considering the performance potential of this hull, this rig is appropriate. The stayless rig is clean and will be cheap to build with solid fir poles.
MARSH HEN offers seaworthy and seakindly performance, good speeds with modest horsepower, and handsome looks. Her plywood construction is more accessible to amateur builders.
Didi Mount Gay 30 radius chine plywood racer
“Breeze” is a 10′ (3m) double paddle canoe. Two sheets of plywood needed. Stitch and glue construction using 3″(75mm) fiberglass tape in epoxy for all seams inside and out. The deciding factors when designing the boat were mostly the same as with all my designs - seaworthiness and lightweight.
For those beautiful days out for lunch on the river or an evening on the lake by yourself, this is the boat.

Built with double sawn frames and strip plank, this little gaff cutter is designed for long term cruising.
A modern iteration of Philippine double outrigger canoe. Adapting to present-day construction method, the wooden facetted hull still has the silhouette of the Austronesian “Bangka”.
