In designing Capriccio we have been inspired by the aesthetics of the classic sport runabouts of the Thirties, which had the pilot seat in the extreme aft-wards of the boat and a powerful engine under a long deck in front of them.

The Solo Packette is designed for those searching for pack canoe that they can carry to even through the most difficult approaches.

A stable (28 1/2″ beam) strip-built touring kayak.

Planked up with 1/4″ cedar strips.

Construction: Strip planked.

Lofting is required.

Plans include 4 sheets.

This charming addition to our cradle boat fleet is adapted from a type known as a pram. Prams have transoms at both bow and stern, and are used extensively as tenders for larger vessels because of their roominess in a relatively short length.

With a submerged clipper bow and high tucked transom, Kayleigh is every inch a classic power sharpie skiff. Her flat rockered bottom gives great initial stability and easy beaching.

Designed as a cat schooner; both sails have big round poles at their leading edges. Considering the performance potential of this hull, this rig is appropriate. The stayless rig is clean and will be cheap to build with solid fir poles.
