A refinement of the traditional Swampscott working dory for recreational use.

Plans include nine different rigs.

Construction: Glued lapstrake plywood over sawn frames.

Alternative construction: Traditional dory construction.

Based on Tom Gillmer and Iver Franzen’s New Moon (an enlargement on Gillmer’s Blue Moon), this sailing vessel is intended to be a stout, seaworthy, offshore-capable passagemaker, with an emphasis on the balance between comfortable sea-keeping and good sailing abilities.

Lion 550 Adrenaline, light boat, trailer envelope can significantly expand the geography of travel and take the owners a lot of positive emotions and adrenaline.

Meghan has a constant deadrise V-bottom hull with  a capacity of 1-2 passengers and features for & aft flotation chambers. Her rig consists of a 16ft free standing mast, 9′5″ wishbone boom and 65 square ft sail.

Round-bottomed, transom stern, centerboard, 2-4 daysailing.

Contruction: Carvel planked over steamed frames

Alternative contruction: Lapstrake, strip or cold-molded
