This double ended rowing skiff is a versatile craft to enjoy alone or with your favourite partner out for a little fishing or an evening of conversation.
A 10 ft. traditional lapstrake-planked Norwegian style pram. Strikingly elegant but very practical rowing tender.
This is a simple 8ft stitch and glue sail/row pram. It requires only 3 sheets of marine plywood and should be very fast, easy, and inexpensive to build. It should end up just over 80lb so easy to transport as well.
Traditional Wood Strip CanoeThe Mystic River is a tidal estuary in southeast Connecticut. Starting in Old Mystic it runs through the pretty seaport town of Mystic, home to the Mystic Seaport Museum, out to Fishers Island Sound.
Seaworthy, stable, and easily rowed. Here is a pod that is a bit smaller than most, but she will still carry a big load and bring you through some lumpy water with confidence.
Scherzando is a 12'10'' open canoe. The construction technique is a wooden basquet whith a canvas skin coated with epoxy or polyester. The plans include 7 station moulds, bow and stem at full escale.
This 14′ pulling boat was inspired by the Typical Whitehall Designs uses as work boats of the harbors of New York a century ago. Altered to be more of a recreational boat, you will find that pulling the oars on this boat is a delight.
