“LONE STAR” is a world cruising yacht designed by Naval Architect Jay E. Paris Jr. and built at Mashford Bros Ltd. Shipyard in Cremyll, Cornwall, England.
This vessel was built by Naval Architect Ted Carpentier who also worked as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft and was a personal friend of Howard Huges. It was custom built for the CEO of United Airlines (in fact, the original spinnaker is in United Airlines colors).
This G. Taylor Newell design built by Othar Larsen of Norge Boats in Drobak, Norway is in the water and ready to sail away. Located in Branford, Connecticut she has been maintained by Dutch Wharf Boatyard under the stewardship of a knowledgeable owner.
“TULIP” ex. “HALAKYE”, 25′ Gaff rigged knockabout sloop. Classic Shiverick design. Built in Maine by George Palten 1984. Mahogany planks on oak frames. Centerboard shoal draft. Big cockpit easily sits my family of six, luxurious for two couples. Recent refit. All paint and varnish redone.

Beautiful lines of teak and mahogany—evocative of the style in vogue during the 1930s, grace this rare example of a Marblehead wooden motor yacht built by the Marblehead Boat Yard Co. of Biddeford, Maine.
