“Sue Seay Q” a 9′6″ Nutshell Pram Kit built by Guy Seay Jr. was launched on Aug 29th 2014. The family project enlisted son’s Michael and Eric along with wife Sue. Guy built the Nutshell in his barn in Upper Saddle River NJ. Launching took place on Barnegat Bay, NJ off of Long Beach Island.

Recently completed Night Heron high deck strip-built from a CLC Kit.This is a modified high-deck with the deck re-drawn to preserve all the knee height of the high deck but substantially flattening out the deck center-line... in a style inspired by Nick’s Petrel.

I built this little Beach Pea so my granddaughters and I can learn to sail, it also rows very nicely. It is constructed of doug fir marine ply for the planks and almost everything else is ash. The name and paint job were inspired by traditional Jamaican fishing boats.

Lunenburg handline dory — launched August 16th. I took a two-week course at The Dory Shop in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia two years back. It took some time to gather the necessary materials and build the forms and jigs. Plus, I developed the workshop as I went along.

Petrel Play Kayak

The boat is stitch and glue construction from a kit produced by Chesapeake Light Craft. The red pieces were stained prior to construction in order to highlight the “artistic” puzzle joints that designer Nick Schade uses. The build took 59 work days/134.5 hours spread over a five month period.
