Built in Seattle in 1934 by the Blanchard Boat Company, Amazon was re-launched on July 3rd 2018. The boat has just undergone an extensive four year rebuild including a new stem, transom, decks, the replacement of several frames and planks, and a refasten.
Richard Hudak, of Hilo, Hawaii, built this gleaming 16′ canoe from sugi cedar. He cut the tree down and milled the wood himself. He made the gunwale and seats from sprice, and the rails, stems, and breasthooks from koa. He made the paddle from Portuguese cypress, spruce, and sugi cedar.
Ceili Connors enjoys using this Laughing Loon "Wee Too" Canoe on the quiet inlets of Narragansett Bay, RI. Her father Ken built this little double paddle canoe for her. Ken mentions that Rob Macks was very helpful during the construction.
Steven Toedter used no plans to build this skiff for his 8-year-old daughter, Caitlin. Her instructions were to build it "strong." Constructed of Philippine mahogany plywood on clear Douglas fir frames, the boat is 7' LOA with a 3' beam.
Built by Russ Sabia of Belmont, Massachusetts and donated to the 7 Lakes Alliance in Belgrade Lakes, Maine to help raise funds to support their land and water conservation efforts around the Belgrade Lakes.This solo canoe is 11′6″ with a 2′4″ beam and took approximately 120 hours to build.
Bob Bramble designed and built this 13′ sailboat, which he calls LITTLE BOAT to sail in the lower Potomac River between Maryland and Virginia.
