My Chesapeake Light Craft Sassafras 16™ is shown here, in the Delaware Water Gap, on its first launch for an overnight cam

David Blake built MOLLY, a 16′ x 6′ Stevenson Weekender sloop from okoume plywood and mahogany, then covered the hull with fiberglass and epoxy. He made the mast from Sitka spruce and the boom and gaff from Douglas-fir.

This 30' cedar-strip 15-person canoe (C15) had its launching and inaugural paddle on May 12th of this year.

An Echo Bay Dory Skiff built with a sprit sail rig built from a kit by Chase Small Craft. The boat was 8 years in the making (I have other hobbies too).

A scaled version of the Guepard. The hull shape is original but the rigging is from Selway Fisher “Surf8”.

SPIRIT is the first wooden kayak that Rod Chelberg has built. He started with an ocean kayak kit from Newfound Woodworks in Bristol, New Hampshire. Rod used red cedar strips with accent strips of white cedar on the 44 lb. hull.

The Covid summer of 2020 was a time of distress and dislocation for many. For New Yorker Lorne Swarthout it was also an opportunity to build a boat in his friend’s garage/workshop in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The project was a Great Auk 14 from Chesapeake Light Craft.

Aleksander Kovalenko from Kstovo, Russia (near Nijni Novgorod) built in less than one year Eider from Sam Devlin board.The boat sails now The Volga, the builder is happy. This is his first retirement project.

Kyle Abingdon and Maris Skabardis recently restored SOLATE, a 1954 Scarborough sloop designed by John Ley. The team worked part-time on this boat for about two years.
