Mebo 12
The Mebo 12 is a new versatile nesting dinghy I designed and built last winter and spring.
GEMINI
Jerry and Cheryl Morrow wanted a canoe that could be easily portaged and carried in the back of a pick-up truck, so they modified this Chestnut Prospector canoe by cutting it in half. Each half weighs 42 pounds. GEMINI is strip-built of poplar strips with ash trim.
MISS CANADA
Bruce Lee writes of his newly built Arch Davis design Penobscot 14, "I built the boat in British Columbia, Canada before moving Sydney, Australia where I continue to do business as Lee Wooden Kayaks Canoes (Winner of Best Small Boat, Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival, 1999).
TUPAN
Flavio Simon had help from his wife, Marilia, and friends, Andy Jordan and AJ LeBlanc, in the construction of this 15'7" Whisp Skiff, TUPAN. Named after a Brazilian deity, TUPAN took nearly 200 hours of Flavio's time for construction.
Wood Duck 12 Hybrid
Built from plans by Eric Schade, sold thru Chesapeake Light Craft. Okoume plywood hull, Western red cedar and Northern white cedar deck. My grandson had outgrown his 8′ Duckling (also by Eric Schade) I made for his ninth birthday and chose this for his 15th birthday.
FIDDLEHEAD
Tom Hill designed this Charlotte lapstrake canoe, named FIDDLEHEAD by builder Bob MacEwen of Brunswick, ME. With a length of 11′6″ and beam of 2′4″, she weighs only 27 pounds.
M & M 1
When Mike Morris and Matt FitzGibbon discovered they both had a desire to build a boat, they decided to build one together. Using Canoe Craft by Ted Moores and The Stripper's Guide to Canoe Building by David Hazen, they constructed a 16' strip-built Abenaki model covered in Hazen's book.
CORRYVRECKAN
Frank Bailleul launched his sea kayak CORRYVRECKAN built and designed by Sardine Boats on the Bono river, south Brittany-France. The CORRYVRECKAN is a stitch-n-glue kayak designed for tall paddlers and touring.
SHEARWATER PULLING BOAT
Ward Brady of Laguna Niguel, CA, built this Shearwater pulling boat from WB Plan No. 58 to bring the "idea of wooden boats to the West Coast." His assistants are rowing.
