Traditional Wood Strip CanoeThe Mystic River is a tidal estuary in southeast Connecticut. Starting in Old Mystic it runs through the pretty seaport town of Mystic, home to the Mystic Seaport Museum, out to Fishers Island Sound.

Thank you for considering my plans for BOWLER, a “cruising” version of my TOP HAT launch. These boats are descended from Harry Bryan’s inspired Handy Billy design, which in turn can trace it’s origins back to William Hand's vee bottom designs from the early 20th century.

An outboard skiff with a wide bottom and moderate rocker that contribute to stability and the ability to carry weight back aft.

• Construction: Cross-planked bottom, lapstrake sides
• Alternative construction: Plywood or glued-lapstrake plywood
• Lofting is required

Originally designed for WoodenBoat Magazine’s Design Competition II, Puget Sound Cruiser is an efficient, rugged, comfortable cruiser that can sleep two comfortably, or four in a pinch.

4.80 m Plywood stitch & glue solo canoe.

The input was “design a pure cruising boat”.The boat has wide internal volumes, limited draft, average/high displacement and sailing area which do not require a continuos sail change.The hull lines have been developed both to corner and round.We wanted to realize something new for deck design.

SILVER 45 is a very classical small runabout capable of planing at full charge with a 25 to 40 HP outboard engine.
