My boat is a “couch boat” which is the only description I could think of since I designed it for comfortable seating and aesthetic Italian curvy lines.
A CLC Northeaster Dory. As a kit boat, there are many like it, but the build of this one is special. It was built almost completely during my toddler’s naps over the course of 18 months. And I built it almost completely solo.

15 ft skiff designed by Phil Bolger and taken from Dynamite Payson's Instant Boats book. It was an enjoyable first boat project. I added an center rear seat and a bow seat. I launched her into San Diego Bay.

Jim Martin of Ashland, Oregon built this 15' 'Skerry' kit from CLC. Jim named her FROLIC and equipped her with a sprit rig. He launched FROLIC on May 13, 2003 and uses her on the mountain lakes of southern Oregon.
She is named “Arundel” after her birthplace. My brother and I started work on her hull as a side project while attending the Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design in Arundel, Maine even although her completion and launch would take place in Arizona.
