In June 2011 Paul Kueffner launched a cedar-strip kayak that he built for his wife from plans by John Winters. The Caspian Sea design is 15′6″ long, andabout 50 pounds with gear. He built the hull from 1/4″ western red cedar strips, covered with epoxy and 8 oz fiberglass cloth.

An i550 built by Jon Raymond of Polson, Montana, homeport for Critical Twist is Dayton, Montana on Flathead Lake. The i550 is a Stitch and Glue Sport Boat designed with simplicity as a goal. Displacement is 800 pounds, upwind sail area 240 sq.

Donal O'Callaghan writes that his boat is "one of those boats that whenever you row it, you should allow a few minutes to answer questions, because people are attracted to it like a magnet." He built this sleek beauty from plans by Graeme King of Putney, Vermont.

David Eikamp writes that he has enjoyed every minute of the two years he spent building SOUND, and Iain Oughtred Spike sailing skiff. He bought the plans from The WoodenBoat Store, then got started on the construction.

Tom Karsnia designed and built the EDNA BELLE during the summer of 2004. He writes that the boat floats and rides like a dream. It seems as light as a feather in the water. It is easy to maneuver and turns on a dime. It is made of 3/8" marine plywood and western red cedar coated with epoxy.

LUNA is a beautiful skerry from CLC boats. I built it myself here in São Paulo Brazil. It’s probably the first of her kind to be built here.

North Carolina resident Bob Curtis recently celebrated the launching of his BABY TENDER II in December 2017, when his granddaughter and brand-new boat captain, Laine Irene Butler, arrived home home from the hospital.

Tom Willess of Oakton, Virginia discovered Chesapeake Light Craft a few years ago and has fallen in love with building their kayaks. He has already built two 12′ Wood Duck Hybrids that are stitch-and-glue constructed from one of CLC’s kits.

Driftwood’s hull is constructed of marine mahogany covered by fibreglass. The keel, stem, gunwales, benches, and spray rails are made from Sapele. It’s a Candlefish 13 Devlin Design that uses the stitch and glue construction method.
