The GulfStream 28 is a moderate vee, relatively narrow boat (beam/length ratio of 3.4) designed to satisfy a program in which economy and seaworthiness were top priorities.
This is a boat simple to build, economical to use and that has a minimum of habitability and a lot of deck space for outdoor living.The construction method is the “stitch and paste” because of its small size.The hull is in CPM 10 mm thk.
This is a larger version of my 28ft Gypsy sailing catamaran and is a 34′ offshore cruiser. It has essentially the same cuddy as Gypsy as that has proven a comfortable size for a couple and occasional guests.
We have been totally inspired by the traditional, beautiful and extraordinarily functional Senegalese pirogues for the design of the hulls of the SIRENE DU SALOUM.
Our Deben Class designs are inspired by the original Deben 4-tonner, which my father commissioned from W. M. Blake in 1936 and the Deben 6-tonner, designed by my father in 1950. At least 35 of the 4-tonners and 3 of the 6-tonners were built between 1937 and 1960.
The Mill Creek 16.5™ is enormously popular because it can be used in so many ways. Not only can you paddle it as a single or a double, but you can sail it, or add a sliding-seat rowing unit.
Construction — Glued lapstrake clinker plywood. Alternative construction —Traditional plank, cold molded and strip plank. No Lofting required. Plans include 7 sheets with instructions. Sail Area — Lug 65 sq. ft. Sloop 84 sq. ft. Yawl 81 sq. ft.

Lofting is required.

LYS stands for Lumber Yard Skiff. These rugged flat bottom work skiffs were originally designed to be built using materials readily found in most lumber yards- underlayment plywood and spruce framing.
Mahogany planked on oiled oak frames. Spruce spars and stainless rigging.
