MASH is a design I created for Woodenboat Magazine’s Sketchbook article, issue 275, July/August 2020. She is a 24ft power cruiser with a cuddy cabin designed in the lobsterboat style.
A narrow beam and shallow arch hull make the Canadien ideal for general-purpose paddling and light tripping.
Designed for a boat owner who wanted a rigid tender for his 24’ meter yacht, PRAM 220 has the minimum dimensions to be used at this scope. It may be used by children for sailing in protected waters.
A 10 ft. traditional lapstrake-planked Norwegian style pram. Strikingly elegant but very practical rowing tender.
Simon found an older version of this boat back in the eighties and realized that its thousand-year-old design could be copied and preserved without too much difficulty. He measured it out in ’89 and Bill Nielsen lofted it and drew up the plans in ’91.
Our pre-cut kits are cut by computer-guided routers to provide you with extremely accurate parts. And, the kits come with just about everything needed except the elbow grease. The ladder frame—the “foundation” of the boat—is now included with the kit.
Construction: Glued lapstrake clinker plywood. Alternative construction: Traditional plank, cold molded and strip plank.
