Lernort Studio is an educational institution subsidized by the city of Dusseldorf and the state of Northrhine-Westfalia in Germany offering classes to high school students. Sculptor Michael Kukulies supervised the construction of this proa by his woodworking students at studio.
Dennis Williams believes this 11' skiff to have built sometime in the 1950s. It was restored by Fabian and Sachs restorations. It was a sailing skiff, which Dennis had converted to a rowing skiff. He uses her in the West River at Shady Side, MD.

Just launched May 15, my Point Comfort 23, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.The glass over marine ply hull is to plan, but the interior is mostly mine, including the steam bent white oak t-top frame and marine ply cover, and teak covered vertical surfaces.
