Rene Burdahl of Innvik, Norway has been busy building boats. Among his recent boats are a 16' canoe. The plans called for cedar strip planking, but Rene used spruce and then glassed the hull inside and out. The seats are oak and gunwales are elm. The yoke and breasthook is cherry.

The Boy Scouts of Camp Wah Tut Ca in Northwood, New Hampshire just launched a new sailing surf dory built by Graham McKay of Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Modified from Lowell's standard surf dory design, the 27′ x 7′ ketch will also serve as a pulling boat.
Restorer and owner Reed Feuster says this "Duck Boat" sneakbox of the Diamond class was built by David Beaton and Son of West Montoloking, NH approximately 40 years ago. Fleets of these white cedar boats were raced by Bay Head, Mantoloking, and Manasquan River Yacht Clubs on Barnegat Bay.
Jay Eugster writes "Here is a catboat I built in 2004 called COOL CAT, the plans of which were in your Fifty Wooden Boats to Build, it is a 11' dinghy by Charles Wittholz. It is 11' long, 5' beam with the gaff rig and dagger board.
